What you may see while on the Chattahoochee River

The Scenery while paddling down the river is very lush greenery, large rock formations and crystal clear waters.   You may and probably will see a variety of species of ducks, including wood ducks, mallards and many others that call the Chattahoochee home.  Large Birds called Blue Herrings are all over and nest high in the tree tops but feed on the fish in the river, so you will frequently see them in the water.  Raccoons, Deer, and a variety of birds are also frequently spotted.  The Chattahoochee is filled with Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, and Shoal Bass.  We are the southern most part of the state where Trout thrive.  The waters of the Chattahoochee seldom reach over 56 degrees and create a great micro environment with cools the air close to the water.
